The Knife that Cuts a Tear (World Premiere)
Kristin Rule’s new release, The Knife that Cuts a Tear, reaches deeply into the hearts and minds of listeners from all walks of life. A composition graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts, Kristin has found her voice in the form of a cello and a loopstation.
In this premiere performance, music and moving images combine to entice audiences on a mesmerising journey through contrasting emotional landscapes; of places both known and unknown, real and imagined.
The moving images for this performance are the result of an Aphids’ Remote Sense residency and mentoring program, in collaboration with Punctum and filmmaker Paul Fletcher.
