Open Studios will once again be a major part of the Festival and despite the impact of Covid-19, or perhaps because of it, we hope our local artists will seize the opportunity to show off their work as we emerge from a very challenging 12 months with audiences hungry to get their hands on a significant art fix.

The format of our printed program guide will also be different to other years as we have teamed up with Midland Express as our Major Media Partner. They will deliver our program
in a new tabloid format inserted into a special CSF edition in early January straight into 22,000 homes in regional Victoria, with additional copies available at cultural hotspots locally and in Melbourne. As a result, we have made changes to the Open Studio program to streamline your bang for buck, with further digital offerings on the CSF website plus
opportunities to buy further ad space via the Midland Express team if you wish to do so.

We have allocated much more space on our website, with room for virtual studio tours, online sales of your work and we are offering inclusion in both for a set fee.

  • Listing on Open Studios page in printed program guide
  • Listing and inclusion on Open Studios map on CSF website
  • Listing (greater detail) on CSF website – image, artist or venue bio, studio

commission to CSF only on works sold for sales administration)
  • Inclusion in Open Studios marketing campaign via:

    – CSF eNews campaign
    – CSF cross-promotion with other organisations

Participating artists/venues must be able to observe social distancing regulations, limit number of visitors in spaces and follow hygiene measures. We will provide further detail of
these measures in coming months as there are still potential fluctuations in capacities and the like.
