Roz Avent studied at City and Guilds School of Art, London and did her post graduate year in Print Making at Wimbledon School of Art.
For the past 7 years her focus has been on large scale charcoal drawings including figures, antique artifacts and landscapes.
“This is one of a series of large scale charcoal drawings exploring the Human Condition through the landscape of Central Victoria. The struggle for plants to survive in this dry and rocky landscape with little water is, for me, a metaphor for the indomitable spirit of humans to survive the most terrible circumstances.”
Nature Brute – Resting is currently on display at The Taproom, 5A/9 Walker St. Castlemaine.
