The CSF Youth Media Team Are Back on Track

Are you interested in arts and culture? Want to talk about it? Write about it? Film it? Are you aged 12-26?

Goods Shed Arts Creative Learning Youth Media Team are starting up a new conversation about culture in our town and beyond, from their unique perspective. Would you like to be part of it?

The Youth Media Team is a group of young people aged 12-26 who are interested in talking about Arts and Culture – whether that’s on radio, in print, on socials or online journals, or any other platform you can think of!  We are now open for new members as well as existing alumni from the 2019 and 2021 programs. You can learn skills in writing and speaking about arts, as well as technical skills in camera operation, sound recording, and video editing. We will be bringing in local media professionals to deliver specialised workshops, when needed.

We will be holding monthly meetings, so it’s not too time consuming, and you can do as much or as little as you like, depending on your schedule. This is a FREE program. We work to create a safe space for young people from diverse gender and cultural identities. Everyone is welcome. Bring your opinion!

Meeting: Monday 2nd August 4pm-5.30pm, The Goods Shed (upstairs)

Prep: Bring some information about a cultural event (in person or online) or book, or film, or art exhibition you are interested in.

Content: We will discuss the best methods to cover your event, options for different platforms (e.g. social media, online journals, radio, print media), and any technical support you might need. We will also take a look at our existing brand id, and give it a makeover.

Cost: Free
