2013 Dominique Segan Emerging Artist Mentorship
Tamil Rogean & Australian National Academy Of Music
Tamil Rogean, virtuoso violinist from the Raah Project, and string players from the Australian National Academy of Music will conduct a series of workshops with students from the Castlemaine Secondary College over 6 weeks prior to the Festival.
Tamil will focus on improvisational string techniques from some of his own compositions, while Australian National Academy of Music players will work with the students on traditional classical pieces that require concentrated manuscript reading. Altogether they will prepare a special Castlemaine Town Hall concert to be presented on the afternoon of our Generating Y youth day.
