HEAR MY EYES: BARAKA

WITH ORIGINAL LIVE SCORE AND ROBOTICS BY DYLAN MARTORELL

Dylan Martorell will perform a completely original film score that he has written specifically for this project while the entire film Baraka plays overhead. He uses rare instruments and found-objects he has collected from all over the world as his instruments and plays them with custom built, programmed robotic arms.  Dylan will spend the entire day prior to the screening setting up his instruments, roughly 30 robots and all of the corresponding circuit boards. All of the films original audio is retained except the score.

Experience soothing ambient passages made up of Indonesian bell chimes, whistles and hand made instruments. Fast paced percussion consisting of Nepalese hand drums and Thai cymbals. Ambient, experimental electronics using modular synthesisers and purpose built electronic devices.

Hear My Eyes is an arts organisation that invites musicians to write a new film score to a pre-existing film, then perform their new score live alongside the film screening.
