Castlemaine State Festival presents
Frente!
Hey, Lovers! What’s your sweetest Frente! memory?
Did you fall in love to the soundtrack of their rose-tinted take on New Order’s ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’? Or dream of being a sunflower child dancing through the street scene of ‘Accidently Kelly Street’ Was it your first big concert, when you saw them open for Alanis Morissette on the Jagged Little Pill tour? Did you learn guitar (or recorder) to the chords of Labour of Love?
Hear Simon and Angie’s tales from that time and reminisce to the songs that hold stories for us all, as they celebrate 30 years of Marvin the Album – bringing the love to Castlemaine.
Come down to the Western Reserve Big Top for our free Opening Night Celebrations, kicking off with a Welcome to Country Ceremony at 7pm, followed by Frente and finishing off with an After Party till late!

TO BOOK
Frente had a freshness and innocence about their music that was starkly different to the disaffection of grunge. The band's sweet first single 'Labour Of Love' placed in triple j's Hottest 100 of 1991 and, all of the sudden, Frente were everywhere.
