Painter Printmaker Jeff Gardner lives and works in his studio in historic Maldon in central Victoria. Jeff uses traditional etching, drypoint and letterpress techniques to illustrate his compositions and creative verse.
His current exhibition – Daylight in the Daydream and the Insect Moons – explores Jeff’s interest in insects, their decorative influence on our lives and their psychological nurturing of our thoughts. His ambition is to express the unseen in cognitive representations of the world – a multifaceted artist who has long practise in the three P’s – Painting, Printmaking and Poetry.
“My happy place is to watch life and nature from the back of the classroom – to absorb the radiance of the world, its depth, shade and humour.”
