Why You Should Join Us
The Castlemaine State Festival (CSF) is Victoria’s premier regional multi-arts festival, and we’re inviting you to nominate for our board of directors. Your expertise and commitment could help breathe new life into a festival that’s been shaping lives and careers in our community for nearly 50 years.
Made in Our Community, Inviting the World
In March 2026, we’re bringing back the magic that has made CSF special. We’re involving our community, curating a festival that fills everyone with pride, and showcasing local artists alongside the best global talent. After facing some challenges in 2023, we’re excited to be rebuilding and reconnecting with you!
What We Hope You’ll Bring
Joining our board is a big commitment, but it’s also a chance to make a real impact. As a CSF director, you’ll:
- love making a difference alongside passionate staff and skilled volunteers
- engage with our amazing community
- collaborate with a fresh team and a new board
- share your skills and insights
- help create a festival experience that dazzles
What We’re Looking For
Rebuilding an icon takes time and patience, and we’re on the lookout for board members ready to take on this unique challenge. You’ll need to be passionate, dynamic, and dedicated, with a proven track record of getting things done and working well in a team.
We’d Love It If You Have
Tick one or more of the following? We’d love to hear from you.
- deep understanding of what the festival means to Castlemaine and strong connections in the community
