The Aryo Seno Ensemble invites audiences into a vibrant sound world where tradition and innovation meet. Drawing from Indonesia’s rich musical heritage, the ensemble creates an immersive journey through intricate rhythms, shimmering textures, and lyrical melodies — where the meditative stillness of gamelan meets the dynamic pulse of contemporary world music. Founded and led by composer, and multi-instrumentalist Aryo Seno, the ensemble brings together a diverse group of performers including Zoë Barry, Justin Marshall, and Kirri Büchler. The Ensemble’s experience spans continents, genres and disciplines generating a collaborative tapestry that blurs borders and celebrates connection. The result is a performance that feels both deeply rooted and radically open — ancient soundscapes speaking freshly to modern ears.
Preceding the concert, the ensemble will lead MIX IT UP: all musics – no limits, an interactive workshop inviting participants into rhythm and sound-making firsthand.
