“Some women fight for what is happening around them now and some fight for all forever.”
In pre war 1930’s Europe, Josephine Baker changed the world through her outrageous singing and dancing stage performances, film acting, French spy activities, civil right activism, orphanage founding and by believing that she could always achieve whatever she set out to do.
A woman who persistently defied racism, bigotry, sexism and misogyny has her story told with video narration and live lush string quartet arrangements with authentic Manouche guitars and double bass.
