It’s A Kind of Magic

The Castlemaine Fringe Festival closes its wearable art exhibition with a dazzling runway show like no other. It’s A Kind of Magic transforms the stage into a catwalk of creativity and chaos – a full-blown celebration of imagination, design and performance featuring works by more than 30 local creatives. Artists, designers and performers of all ages are invited to create and showcase wearable works that defy convention: sculptural dresses, luminous headpieces, moving installations and glittering reimaginings of everyday materials. Set to music and packed with personality, the catwalk becomes a performance in itself – part theatre, part fashion show, all heart. It’s A Kind of Magic is a love letter to Castlemaine’s creative community: bold, colourful and utterly unique.
