Join the Festival team.  Become a volunteer.

Volunteers are an important and much valued part of the Castlemaine State Festival. The 2015 Castlemaine State Festival relied on over 250 volunteers accounting for over 5,000 hours!

The 2017 Castlemaine State Festival is fast approaching and again the success of the Festival will rely on a large number of dedicated volunteers. By becoming a volunteer you have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in this spectacular cultural event. There are a range of ways for you to share your talents, skills and time both during and in the lead up to the festival, in roles such as administration, production, ticketing, artist support, transportation and artist accommodation. All volunteers are provided orientation and support, and an opportunity to participate in festival activities and contribute to its success.

Upon registration as a Castlemaine State Festival volunteer, volunteers will receive a Volunteer Handbook. This will include detailed descriptions of the roles available, along with guidelines associated with the responsibilities of both the Festival and its volunteers, and will assist volunteers in selecting their preferred roles. The handbook is available to download below.
