Uncanny Valley is a twisted fairy tale that takes us into a world where the hilariously grotesque meets with enchantment and the real. Drawing on Hollywood horse chases, stage villains and vengeance, Uncanny Valley is a showbiz tale of revenge and triumph. The Uncanny Valley clowns combine wicked humor and a nostalgic aesthetic in a slapstick voyage of survival. Created by Emilie Bloom and Nicci Wilks in collaboration with Punctum, Uncanny Valley is a rollercoaster ride punctuated by audience gasps and screams of laughter.
Nicci Wilks is a highly respected physical theatre artist who has trained in France, Spain, USA, Canada, Norway and Germany, worked with Circus Oz, MTC, KAGE, and CIRCA, and recently performed the celebrated Long Pigs and SHIT by Patricia Cornelius. Emilie Bloom is an equally admired local theatre maker whose company Porcelain Punch is an ensemble specialising in contemporary vaudeville, circus, clown and Bouffon (mockery-style French circus theatre).
