The Bridge Hotel presents
Liz Stringer
Liz Stringer is what you’d call a ‘lifer’. Since leaving home in Melbourne at sixteen and starting a band in Germany, she honed her chops playing solo around England, before returning home to record the first of six gutsy, ever-evolving albums, and touring extensively. Rolling Stone has praised her “unsettling lyrical directness and pop composure”, and her prowess as a roots/rock songwriter is so venerated that in 2019 she was honoured at Woodford Folk Festival as an ’emerging legend of Australian song’ by her musical peers, who covered highlights from her back catalogue.
