The Castlemaine State Festival Education Program connects young people in our region with local, national and international artists. Fostering a sense of belonging and agency, inspiring young people to be the creators of the future.

SCHOOLS

In 2021 CSF Education go es online to provide performances streamed directly into schools, with associated artist workshops and online education resources. Students from Castlemaine Secondary College will be featured in our INSIDE OUT project, with their inspiring portraits pasted up on the high-profile Goods Shed wall on Kennedy Street.

The team from One Sky Many Stories deliver a series of workshops to local primary students, to generate content that will feature in their performance.

THE XYZED MEDIA TEAM

Our dynamic xyzED Media Team, aged 12-25, brings you previews, reviews, artist and audience interviews with their own special take on the Festival from their perspective. Under the mentorship of local media experts, the action kicks off with a 3-day Media Summer School in January, and graduates go on to form the team.
