My favourite places remain the Australian Outback and coast. However, recently I have been drawn to the colour green because it represents new life. MAINE SECOND HAND CENTRE AND AUCTIONS
Nothing New Ben Blacket | Photography
‘Nothing New’ is an exhibition of photographs that allude to Ben’s misgivings about the future. While out photographing his surroundings, Ben’s thoughts are plagued by the looming climate crisis and other uncertainties. The remnants of the gold rush, and a devastated landscape that still bears the scars of past atrocities, are stark reminders of the contributing factors that led us here. But these photographs are not allegories of such concerns. They are his wistful attempts to slow the passage of time.
