Castlemaine State Festival has thrilled generations since 1976. Our program of events over the years have been lauded as ‘monumental’, ‘inspiring’, life changing’ and ‘powerful’ and we are very proud, to say the least.

The work we present by a huge range of artists from here and abroad, plus the creative development work we love to get stuck into in the off-season takes more than just heart and commitment. It takes money!

CSF receives only 40% of our funding from government sources therefore we place great importance on the contributions we receive from trusts and foundations, corporate sponsorships and most importantly through private giving to enable us to:

  • Deliver a world-class Festival
  • Bring the best international and Australian artists to our region
  • Encourage new commissions and cultural initiatives
  • Provide arts education opportunities for young people
  • Create inspiring and engaging opportunities for our local community and beyond.
