Richard Narroway: Bach Cello Suites
Forgive us for saying there are many strings to Richard Narroway’s bow. Praised by Gramophone magazine for the “captivating sensitivity” and “exhilarating authority” of his recordings (of which Bach’s Six Cello Suites has accumulated over a million streams), he lectures at the Melbourne Conservatorium, co-founded the Four Corners Ensemble (dedicated to celebrating diversity through new music), and has won many prestigious prizes. Here, he’ll perform Cello Suites 1 and 6 by Bach, and a hauntingly beautiful selection by Australian composer Kate Moore.
