Kaput at the Castlemaine State Festival

Castlemaine State Festival is proud to present Kaput, a solo show by Tom Flanagan that has already wowed audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and played for a sell-out season at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Performed by Tom Flanagan, Kaput is the story of ‘Mr. Fixit’ who, in the very best tradition of physical comedy, is unable to perform the simplest of tasks without drawing down mayhem and catastrophe upon his head at every turn.

Tom Flanagan is a consummate acrobatic clown who graduated from highly regarded The Flying Fruit Flies, did a stint with Circus Oz and has performed in a variety of international venues to great acclaim. In Kaput he offers a modern twist on the old-time physical comedy of slapstick with great skill, humour, and charm.

Kaput will transport you back to the Charlie Chaplin era of tumbling, fumbling flights of fancy. Be prepared to laugh (and possibly cry!) at the unbelievable antics as Tom twists, falls and flips his way through a series of unforeseeable events with the elegant buffoonery that is his trademark.

You can see more about Kaput on the Strut & Fret website.
